In an Omni Talk exclusive, Anne Mezzenga and Chris Walton get a live demo store tour of Giant Eagle’s new GetGo checkout-free convenience store with Grabango Chief Business Officer Andy Radlow.
For context, Grabango provides the underlying technology for the checkout-free experience within the GetGo store. The GetGo store is an existing store within the Giant Eagle umbrella, it is busy (it has over 18 gas pumps), and the entire technology installation was done as a retrofit — the store didn’t have to close down, fixtures did not have to be replaced, etc.
Anne and Chris also did not discuss any aspect of the video or demonstration prior to recording. Everything was decided in the moment.
