Petco’s relaunched Petco Perks loyalty program cost the retailer mid-single-digit millions in Q2 2026 after point redemptions far outpaced projections, keeping sales flat year over year. 2. Neighborhood Intelligence Drops Lumber Liquidators Parent Deal
Neighborhood Intelligence, formerly Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., has canceled its planned acquisition of F9 Brands, parent of Lumber Liquidators and Cabinets To Go, saying F9 couldn’t meet closing requirements in time. 3. Francesca’s Wins Approval for Liquidation Plan and $7M IP Sale
Francesca’s won court approval for its Chapter 11 liquidation plan after the apparel retailer settled landlord and creditor objections to its store closing sales. The plan includes selling its IP, customer data and brand assets to Altar’d State parent Stand Out For Good for roughly $7 million, the only qualified offer. (Read More)
4. SKIMS Taps DoorDash for On-Demand Delivery From U.S. Stores
SKIMS and DoorDash launched a partnership bringing on-demand delivery from SKIMS retail stores across the U.S. Shoppers can order over 23,000 styles of shapewear, underwear and loungewear, delivered in under an hour on average. DoorDash is SKIMS’ first on-demand delivery partner, now live at 17 stores in 11 states and D.C. (Read More)
5. Target Adds Four New AI Features to Its Consumer Shopping App
Target has rolled out four new AI tools within its consumer app: photo search for finding similar products from an image, AI review insights that organize feedback into themes, Buy Again for quick reordering, and Continue Shopping, which resurfaces recently viewed items with relevant alternatives and personalized offers.
