Hello Omni Talk Fans!
In today’s Retail Daily Minute:
- Target raises its fiscal-year outlook for the second time this year, with comp sales up 3.8% on traffic gains, though part of the earnings boost comes from a one-time tariff refund.
- Amazon plans to expand Prime Air drone delivery to nearly 500 cities and towns by year’s end, a sixfold jump as it races Walmart and DoorDash for last-mile speed.
- Online grocery sales rose 21.5% year-over-year in July even as in-store grocery sales declined, per new Brick Meets Click survey data.
Plus, all these drone announcements of late leave me wondering if they wouldn’t all be better summed up by the title of the movie from which today’s movie quote is taken.
