Hello Omni Talk Fans! Follow your interests, and you will always be interested.
That motto is what brought me to the DIY Summit in Amsterdam, and the conference has already exceeded my expectations. I was like a kid in a candy store yesterday, getting to talk shop with the CEOs of some of the biggest home improvement retailers in Europe.
In today’s Retail Daily Minute:
- Yum! Brands agrees to sell Pizza Hut in a two-part, $2.7 billion deal, splitting ownership between private equity firm LongRange Capital and Yum China.
- New data from Brick Meets Click and Mercatus shows U.S. online grocery sales surging nearly 28% year over year, even as in-store sales slip.
- Lidl US prepares to launch its new Lidl Plus rewards program on July 1st, replacing myLidl with point-based perks and personalized pricing.
Plus, ever wonder what Finnish DIY retailing is like? Or even Dutch?
Whatever your answer is to those questions, you are going to want to check out all my Day 1 interviews from the Summit down below, and also read today’s movie quote from a franchise that I just learned is getting a fourth movie!!!
