All But 3 Moosejaw Stores to Close, New Owner says

Outdoor retailer Moosejaw is closing all of its stores except three, its owner said Friday.

Pittsburgh-based Dick’s Sporting Goods said it is closing most Moosejaw stores but will continue to sell outdoor sporting equipment through its Moosejaw.com website. The three brick-and-mortar Moosejaw stores that will remain open are located in Birmingham in Oakland County, Salt Lake City and Bentonville, Arkansas, the company said.

“After careful review of our outdoor specialty business, we have decided to form one team that will support the operations of Public Lands and Moosejaw,” Dick’s Sporting Goods officials said in a statement. “The team will be based at Public Lands’ headquarters in Pittsburgh.
