Shopify is connecting retailers on its platform an artificial intelligence (AI) solution that helps ensure accurate online sizing.
The Canadian e-commerce company is providing retailers the option to utilize the True Fit Fashion Genome solution, which lets consumers create an online fit profile by entering some basic information about their body type and preferred retailers and apparel brands. Customers then add a “reference item” for each category so True Fit can compare what they are shopping for to what they already have in their closet across different categories.
Customers create their profile by entering their email address and creating a password, or they can save and sign in with social accounts. TrueFit provides AI-based recommendations across menswear, womenswear, kidswear, unisex apparel, footwear, swim and structured intimates categories.
