TikTok is taking steps to compete with Amazon by expanding its e-commerce efforts and creating a supply chain to sell products.
The Chinese-affiliated social media platform has begun taking steps to construct fulfillment centers to deliver products ordered on its platforms, according to job listings found by Axios . The news comes after TikTok began developing live shopping features on its app in an attempt to expand into the commerce industry, as it did in China.
TikTok is looking to build an “international e-commerce fulfillment system,” according to the listings, including international warehousing, customs clearing, and supply chain systems supporting domestic e-commerce in the United States.
