Fanatics has brought on a new partner to enable faster and more efficient last-mile delivery.
The licensed sports merchandise retailer and digital sports platform has entered into a partnership with Quiet Platforms, which American Eagle Outfitters acquired at the end of last year. Under the agreement, Fanatics will leverage the Quiet Platforms network to enable its same-day and next-day delivery strategy. The “click to door” network is designed to allow brands and retailers to better position their inventory to reach customers faster and more cost-efficiently than traditional supply chain modelsby providing access to shared supply chain assets and relationships across every link of the chain.
“Fanatics is one of the most admired names in sports merchandise and digital experiences and we’re extremely pleased to partner with the company to help get orders into its customers’ hands more quickly and reliably,” said Shekar Natarajan, executive VP, chief supply chain officer of American Eagle Outfitters, who also leads Quiet Platforms. “We’re committed to collaborating and leveraging shared assets to offer more sustainable, scaled supply chain solutions that free innovators like Fanatics to focus on what they do best—providing a great customer experience all the way through fast, convenient home delivery.”Chain Store Age
