Twitter kicked off a pilot test Wednesday of its Shop Module, a dedicated space at the top of a business’ profile where they can showcase their products.
When people visit profiles that have Shop Module enabled, they can scroll through a carousel of products and tap on them to learn more or complete the purchase in an in-application browser, without having to leave Twitter.
The pilot is starting out with “a handful” of brands in the U.S., and only people in the U.S. who use Twitter in English on iOS devices will be able to see it.
