- Macy’s unveiled the ‘Story’ concept’s second iteration named Outdoor with an unexpected partners Dick’s Sporting Goods and Miracle-Gro. Macy’s acquired the concept shop last year as it pushes towards experiential retail, Outdoor is now live at 36 locations nation-wide.
- Walmart acquired control of the leading Indian e-commerce player, Flipkart, last year for $16 billion. Bloomberg is now reporting that PhonePe, a payments solution subsidiary of Flipkart, is looking to raise outside cash at a $10B valuation which would be a large and unexpected boon to last year’s acquisition for Walmart.
