According to Chief Product Officer Craig Miller, Shopify plans on spending over $1 billion “over the next few years” to build and operate a fulfillment network that aims to provide two-day shipping within 99% of the continental United States.
Historically, the company’s main product has focused on processing payments and orders for their customer’s on-line stores. This initiative moves towards helping solve the physical challenges around logistics.
